Last summer I was lucky enough to have not one but two visits to the beautiful Island of Skiathos. Yes, I was the chosen celebrant for two destination weddings on the beach on the Island of Skiathos. Skiathos is a picturesque Island, known worldwide as the Queen of the Sporades. It has stunning beaches, luscious woodlands and unforgettable harbour views. Arriving by plane at this unspoilt spot is an experience in itself! The plane literally makes the approach, hovering just metres over the water. Gusty winds can make this a pretty entertaining arrival! Well, the actual movie was filmed on the neighbouring Island of Skopelos, which is a short boat trip away, with some scenes shot on the Island of Skiathos! http://skiathos.gr/en/

Travel regulations were still uncertain back in early 2021. However Adam and Zoe decided that whatever happened, they would continue to make the plans for their dream wedding on the beach on the Island of Skiathos. With Lila’s support, and as we counted down the days, it was a go! Yes, Adam and Zoe were going to have their dream ceremony on the beach of Tzaneria. Nothing could stop them now!
Adam and Zoe, only told a few close family members of their plans. The ceremony was live streamed to their nearest and dearest and a special party back home had been planned for those who knew, so they were ready to celebrate.

The longest natural aisle of all time!
An intimate elopement style ceremony is truly special. As a wedding celebrant in Greece, I always feel privileged and honored when I am chosen to create and perform such a ceremony. Adam and Zoe had met at school and had literally grown up together. As Zoe made her grand entrance she made her way along the beach, accompanied by a solo violinist, it felt like the longest aisle of all time. She was radiant, smiling as she made her way towards Adam, her best friend in the world. And the ceremony was like that all the way through, a happy relaxed vibe, filled with fun and emotion.

The ceremony on the beach in Skiathos was timed perfectly. It took place, just before sunset. The sun was just starting to go down over the bay, as Adam and Zoe exchanged lifelong promises to each other at the water’s edge. There were a couple of lovely yachts anchored off, and they added to the picturesque scene.
Lila had arranged for Adam and Zoe to celebrate together on the beach after the ceremony. It really was the perfect day. So much love and romance!

After postponing their original plans to have a UK wedding due to the pandemic, Dan and Olivia decided that they would plan their dream wedding in Greece on the unforgettable Island of Skiathos. Family and friends would be there to help them celebrate their special day. Even though times remained a little uncertain, as the summer progressed, confidence in travel really grew. So Dan and Oliva were able to go ahead with their beach wedding in early September.

The ceremony itself was all about family. We included a family unity sand ceremony, and it really was a highlight. This couple had quite a story to tell, and I enjoyed sharing this with all their guests. Dan and Olivia kept finding each other unexpectedly again and again, whilst travelling in Australia. It was as if the universe was trying to tell them something! On the beach in Skiathos, Olivia was a stunning bride. As she walked down the aisle to join her handsome groom, there wasn’t a dry eye in the house! Once more Lila and her team did an amazing job planning and coordinating the wedding and a whole range of events before and after the beach ceremony.
